Witton will keep watch while Tom plays for Knutsford
8:10am Friday 18th November 2011
TOM Schofield still features in Witton’s plans despite returning to Knutsford to play matches, according to Albion boss Brian Pritchard.
The midfielder has struggled to break into a team in form – the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League outfit has won 15 of 17 matches in league and cup – since switching to Northwich.
But he will not be forgotten at Manchester Road.
“Tom has been unlucky,” said Pritchard.
“His arrival has coincided with one of our best winning runs in years, so I’ve not needed – or wanted – to change the team too much.
“We decided that the best thing for him was to play games, which is something he can do at Knutsford.”
Schofield, 20, will continue to train with Witton’s first team squad during the week before reporting for duty with Reds at the weekend.
