New dental practice provides therapies for nervous patients
8:00pm Monday 6th February 2012
FORMER university friends have launched a combined dentist and orthodontist practice in Knutsford.
Specialist orthodontist Dr Beatrice Luciola and dentist Dr Ghasoon Smith have set up Beyond Dental Care, in Cheshire Lodge, on Bexton Lane.
The building has been refurbished to create state-of-the-art consultation and treatment rooms, and will open this month.
The pair, who met almost 20 years ago studying dentistry at The University of Manchester, have pursued successful careers in Cheshire, and are set to put their experience to good use, helping some of the 250,000 people in Cheshire who feel anxious about going to the dentist.
The practice will be open to everyone for general dentistry and orthodontics.
But alongside conventional treatments, they will also provide a range of therapies to relax and reassure nervous patients, from talking therapies to mild hypnotherapy.
Beatrice said: “Our aim is to create a relaxing environment, while offering extra support to nervous patients to help them overcome their anxieties.”
